Immerse yourself in the experience of accompanying live theater!

Instrumental students are invited to join our 2 week summer musical theater intensive to learn how to play in a pit orchestra. Receive the tools needed to learn a score quickly, adjust to live singers, and collaborate with other musicians. Our Pit Intensive will give you a head start into another performance option that is constantly needed throughout the community.

Students will receive instruction from Faith Center instrumental faculty. Enrolled students will receive their music ahead of time and are expected to practice and learn it before the intensive begins. Students will receive two uniform t-shirts they are required to wear during rehearsals. Performance dress is all black.

Program Eligibility

Students must be at least Coda level, audition for a spot or have a teacher’s approval. The selection process will occur in late June/early July. Please reach out to Carrie Brown cbrown@faithcenterarts.org with eligibility questions.

When:

Prep Day- June 17th, 2026 * tentative

July 20-29 (Weekdays only) from 8:30am-12:30, July 30 12:00-5pm and July 31/August 1 8:30-12:30.

Performances August 1 @7pm and August 2 @3pm

Registration:

Students may sign up for one week (either week) or both weeks (with a discount).
Cost: $225 (discount for Faith Center members)
