This is where you sign up for your Somerset Family Service!
Several things to keep in mind when signing up –
-Make sure you consider your children’s schedules and your own situation before signing up for a service. Make sure it’s doable for you. There are many options for you to choose from!
-If there are two openings for a specific family service, realize that you might only be doing this family service 15/30 weeks. Consider if you can help out in another area as well! The family service marked with an asterisk is not a weekly service…please consider doing this on top of your weekly service as this would only happen several times a year.

Volunteers will be stationed at the sign in table, helping monitor those who enter/exit the building and greeting and assisting parents, students, teachers and visitors. They will assist with sign in/out, general information and help as well as contacting family liaisons when needed.

Volunteer is stationed at the main door of the Children’s Ministry Center monitoring students/children exiting the building, making sure that anyone spending free time outside in the parking lot area/grass areas by the parking lot has an adult overseeing them. During this hour the volunteer makes sure any garbage has been cleaned up and brings any items left behind to the lost and found.

Coordinates dance recital dance costumes for all locations with the dance director.

Plan pre-K crafts, purchase supplies (reimbursed expense) and run class (1/2 hour) with assistant. Craft ideas/resources available. Class runs from the first week of October through last week of April.

Coordinators are responsible for choosing and providing a variety of age appropriate books to read to preschoolers during these 30 minutes. Fingerplays, songs. games and any other circle time activities are welcome! Preschool classes begin the first week of October and end the last week in April.

The Nursery Door Monitor is responsible for making sure that only age-appropriate children accompanied by a parent are using the nursery.

Coordinators are needed to assist the Family Liaisons, the Faith Center Executive Director, and The Fall Musical Director, to ensure the completion of all performance details such as the Printed Program, Dress Rehearsal Schedule, Performance Schedule, and Performance logistics. These individuals will also help coordinate participating family signups to help with show/performance details as well as coordinating cleanup of the rooms used by families during the weekly rehearsals at the end of the day. Coordinators are responsible to be at each of the Thursday/Saturday rehearsals.
