How will my child do online classes the weeks he is in-person?
Online classes are available when you are so they can be fit into your schedule when it is convenient. Many families are planning on doing the online classes while they are onsite during breaks in the in-person classes. Some families have been able to condense their in-person schedule allowing time at home to complete the online classes during their Faith Center day.
Do we have to choose which week we will attend?
You will attend in-person classes on the weeks they are scheduled. Week 1 for visual arts. Week 2 for choir, dance, drama. Week 3 for instrumental music. Handbells and chimes go every week.
What if we want to take classes that meet in categories that cover week 1, week 2, and week 3 is that allowed?
Yes, you would be in-person at Faith Center every week.
Are siblings allowed to accompany students for in-person weeks?
Yes, siblings are allowed. However many of our host churches are limiting the number of people we can fit into a rooms. The result is out community room capacity will be limited.
If I have a child signed up for week 1 and week 3, but my other child wants to take classes week 2 is that feasible?
Yes, you can mix and match weeks so they work for you
Can I combine Online and In-Person Hybrid courses or do I have to pick only one choice or the other?
Yes, you can select any combination of classes that will work for your schedule. Your membership still covers three full year courses. You choose the combination that works for you.
What happens if we get sick and can’t come for our week in person?
In-person classes will be streamed live so you can participate in the in-person class remotely.
Will children be able to play with their friends? Will the gym or preschool room be open?
Each family as a different level of comfort socializing with others. Families can decide to socialize.
Do we need to get tested to attend?
No you do need to get tested in order to attend.
Do we have to wear masks?
Most teachers are requesting students wear masks during class.
How can I learn more about Faith Center’s safety and health protocol?
You can read our policies on building usage and health and wellness.
How can we access these courses? Do we need special equipment?
Students will receive a login for the Faith Center LMS, where courses can be accessed. Any special equipment required is listed each course description.
Are these classes live? What if we cannot meet at the time assigned?
Online classes are available when you are except for Music Theory. Online classes allow students to fit the course work into their weekly schedule. Music Theory will meet live via zoom on Friday Morning.
Do online courses require any in-person work, such as rehearsals or concerts?
They do not require in-person work. Students taking online group lessons are welcome to play with their-person performing ensembles if their schedule allows. However, it is not required.
We only have one computer, how can all my children participate?
Online classes will allow families to schedule classes and computers use how it best fits for their family schedule since all classes are available when you are.
Will there be a way for online students to connect with other Faith Center students and families?
Developing the community within the online classes is integral to the learning process. Students will be able to interact with other students regularly.
Are the same classes taught online and in person?
Some online classes are taught in person, some online classes are only online. For example the following online courses are also available as in-person options:
Digital Design is taught in-person at Randolph, Somerset, and Cedar Grove.
Photography is taught in-person at Randolph, Somerset, and Cedar Grove
Electronic Music is taught in-person at Cedar Grove and Somerset
Art 1 and 2 are taught in-person at Randolph
How do we register for online only?
Online classes are available through the members only class list.
On the Faith Center registration page search for “Faith Center Online” as your location
If I sign up for online only, could I switch to in-person when the centers open to full capacity?
If the class is being offered in-person at your location, you would be able to switch to the in-person class.
If I have 2 students who want to take the same online course, do I have to register twice?
Yes, both students will need to do their own work and upload their own assignments
How often will these courses meet? How long are the meetings?
Classes will be 90 minutes once a week, in the evening
Where will they be hosted?
They will be hosted at one of our host church facilities.
Is it possible to combine these with online or in-person hybrid options?
No, these classes are designed as a unique in-person experiences.
What is the cost for these options?
See the course descriptions for each offering to determine the cost.
Will the students get to perform live?
There will be a performance component to each class. The performance mode will be dependent on COVID restrictions.
Do these programs follow the same health procedures as the in-person centers?
Yes, since they are in-person, they will follow the same health guidelines.
Will these run throughout the year or is this only a Fall option?
Currently they are being scheduled as fall options.
How can I sign up for small groups?
Please contact Maestro@faithcenterarts.org to receive information as it becomes available.
What are the age requirements?
Please check the individual announcement. Each opportunity will be different.
Is this a drop off program?
Yes, since students will be in class the entire time parent can drop their students off.
Are these only for homeschool families? We attend public school but miss our extra curricular activities.
They are open for anyone who is interested, regardless of school enrollment.
What classes are offered in home?
Any of the Faith Center class can be offered in the home, but is dependent on teacher availability.
How many families can come together for a class?
There can be 1 family or up to 3 families. This gives families the opportunity to share the cost
Do we get to pick the teacher we want to teach us?
You can request the teacher, however the actual teacher will depend on availability.
What about siblings? Are they allowed to be in the home?
Yes, siblings can be in the home
Why are masks required in the home?
Faith Center believes we are living in an uncertain time. It is better to be over cautious.

What is the minimum of students needed to run in person instruction?
There is no minimum. However, the cost is for the teacher time and travel not for the number of students.
What days and times will this run?
The schedule will be based on the availability of the teacher and families.
Can we organize more than one in person class on the same day?
You can organize as many as Faith Center teachers are able to schedule.
What health protocol will we be required to follow?
The host family will need to assure Faith Center Health Policies are being followed.
Are in home classes still only every 3rd week or can they be every week?
In home classes are scheduled based on availability of the teacher and family. It could be every week, every other week, or any combination that works for the family and teacher.
If we chose in home instruction, can we participate in the small groups and online classes?
Yes, you can still participate in other Faith Center classes.
How long will in home classes run?
In home classes are 10 week programs.
