Students will work to develop dramatic technique through improvisation and dramatic literature, preparing scenes in multiple theater styles. Students will be challenged to develop believable characters for scenes and monologues, working on deeper emotional expression and using physical movement to enhance characterization.

As students progress through the drama program, they will work on advanced dramatic techniques utilizing multiple training methods. Emphasis will be placed on physical, vocal, and emotional character development for scenes, monologues, and full-length performances. Students must memorize scenes in order to perform them, and will be expected to work on memorization at home.
